SABEW Washington 2016 has ended
SABEWDC16 is chaired by Mark Hamrick, Washington bureau chief and senior economic analyst for Bankrate.com. The conference is co-chaired by Cory Schouten, Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia University and SABEW vice president.

Attire for SABEWDC16 is business casual for working sessions and business attire for receptions and awards dinner.

A 50 percent refund will be granted if notice is received at sabew@sabew.org by 5 p.m. EDT Thursday May 12, 2016. No refunds will be issued after 5 p.m. EDT May 16, 2016.

Paul Albergo is the Bureau Chief for Bloomberg BNA, a leading source of legal, tax, regulatory, and business information for professionals. Albergo oversees the Washington-based news organization’s 600 reporters and editors that publish nearly 200 news and information services covering the law, business, economics, the environment, health care, taxation, labor and human resource, and trade issues.

With his wide-ranging purview, Albergo, a 30-year Bloomberg BNA veteran, can discuss the current issues in the news on Capitol Hill and inside the Beltway.


Albergo previously served as Managing Editor of the company’s Daily Report for Executives™.  He has also been Bloomberg BNA’s chief of correspondents, managing the company's worldwide network of staff and freelance correspondents. He has also served as managing editor of several of the company's health care publications, including Health Care Daily Report™ and Health Care Policy Report™, as well as Privacy & Security Law Report®.


Albergo has appeared on numerous television and radio programs including C-SPAN’s Washington Journal and PRI’s The Tavis Smiley Show discussing issues on the front burner in Washington, D.C. Paul is an adjunct associate professor of journalism in the School of Communication at American University. He has spoken at events sponsored by Financial Executives International and the American Association of Law Libraries.


Albergo has a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree from Boston College
